Window Box on Deck Rail

Long Beach Island Deck Rail Planters

Window Box on Deck Rail

My window boxes were purchased for the deck railings at our shore house on Long Beach Island, New Jersey. My friend and sister-in-law, who is not a professional but very creative, was inspired by your planters and offered to design and plant them. Our house sits on a narrow part of the island between the bay and the ocean. Much research went into selecting plants and flowers that would withstand the elements of a barrier island. The planters contain a mix of Gazania, Salvia, Euphorbia, Lobelia, and Superbena as well as Sweet Potato Vine and Spikes. The planters are beautiful by themselves and even better since my friend, Lori Marvosa, created such a colorful design. We hope to enjoy the foliage all season and the planters for many years to come. She plans to return next year and continue to create for our deck. We hope to make it a yearly tradition.
